    Linux, I have that same motherboard and I want to know how in the hell do you run the video card on the first PCI-e slot? please answer…

  3. jdelbs says:

    why put the cpu voltage to 1.45v? If i have the black edition running at 4.0GHz then should i put my voltage @ 1.45v as well?

  4. Morphdoctor1 says:

    sure the processor stays cool but if hes overclocking the motherboards bus speed i wonder how well the BOARD is taking that. Besides that its gaurenteed ASUS wont be taking that board back after it fails. ASUS is junk hense why they have cheesy 5000 HOUR warrentys compared to 3Year warrentys with Gigabyte. Big blocky aluminum fin coolers suck too and ill bet that 140mm fan moves less air then a coolermaster 120mm 2000rpm 90cfm fan. Find a 100% copper cooler with a high cfm output.I prefer Zalman

    Guys…. im thinking of overclocking with almost the same setup. How the hell do i know how much voltage i need? And why don’t i just increase the multiplier and not touch the Bus Speed? I was thinking of getting it to 3,6 ghz at first. My CPU is about 32-33°C at idle temp.. (the 1090t) … so.. All help aprecciated!

    @dabug91 nobody bothers answering my other question, only that silly F/C one. ;-)

  7. dabug91 says:

    @RottenRroses Celsius obviously, are you naïve enough to think its going to be F when he is in a room at room temperature?

  8. EZbakeROFLcakes says:

    @xXPhillip350zXx Do you think hes in need of one of my speacial cakes?

  9. jkkrs says:

    @RottenRroses its C

    I have the ASUS M4A89TD Pro/USB3 Motherboard and a 1090T. I used the same settings and the PC didn’t boot, it told me "overclocking failed".

    any idea what I may change?

    Thanks a lot.

  13. RottenRroses says:

    Is this 50°C or F?

  14. Gothxha says:

    @LOLMAN22 Maybe you need a new cooler? I recently bought the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 along with AMD Phenom II X6 BE. When i saw the AMD cooler and compared it to the noctua fan it just made me lol. The AMD is microscopic compared to the noctua fan!

  15. LOLMAN22 says:

    I HAVE the same CPU and motherboard, I ordered this new computer from ncix in August 2010

    but the thing is this processor runs MAD HOT!! Right now its running at 50C and theres nothing going on!! While gaming it goes all the way up to 70C!! Doesn’t seem right at all!

    @bunnynightmare I need to know this as well.

  18. xxXViiRUSXxx1 says:

    @bunnynightmare buy a new cooler if ur overclocking

  19. bunnynightmare says:

    im thinking about buying AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition,so can i use the cpu cooler that comes whit it if i overclock to 4 ghz?

  20. evolutionpr says:

    @thesmallterror
    The only difference between regular retail cpus & the black editions is the unlocked multiplier. Sometimes lower power consumption but that’s only certain models.

  21. zach2408dk says:

    The accomplishment is making you buy DDR3 instead of running 12 Hemi Cuda DDR2, if you want to upgrade that is.

  23. thesmallterror says:

    Is there anything electrically different between a black and normal processor? I mean, is the unlocked multiplier just a sort of software-ry thing or did amd put something else on the chip to accomplish this?
