@Mountaind3ws I enjoy BFBC2 graphics aswell
These graphics is nothing compared to Bad company 2.
@Skunk2K20
I think it’s stupid to buy a I5 760 + Enthusiast motherboard, since you will get a cheap 1366 system for the same money, so yea i agree 100%.
it’s just that a I5 760 is not bad, not bad at all. But i do agree with you, it’s hard to justify a I5 purchase today since 1366 is now very affordable.
@teckim Hahaha you’re funny no just like I have said before OC a decent amount on whichever CPU he gets but if your going to be spending $200 on a quad core CPU without hyperthreading why not just get an i7 930 or 950 from microcenter for $200 or if you only have an 1156 socket mobo just buy the 870 for $200 875k for $250 but hey if you think thats so bad advice im sorry just trying to help the guy out to get better performance for the same price…. Sue me
@Skunk2K20 So what? you recommend a 980X just for a 5870 or what are you saying?
@teckim Yes… which is why I say it will bottleneck if you don’t push a decent OC through it…..
@Skunk2K20 I5 760 is the same thing without the HT.
@teckim Ummm i’m pretty sure it does… I get a huge increase in performance when even OC’ing my i7 950 from 3.06 to 4.2. I mean unless your gonna be pushing a decent OC
@Skunk2K20 i5 760 won’t bottleneck a 5870at all.
@Skunk2K20
nahh i dont think an i5 760 will bottleneck a 5870, maybe it will in crossfire but not a single one. i say that because the only difference with an i7 and i5 is that i7 has hyperthreading which is kinda useless in games like cod. i5 760 is pretty powerful i’ve seen guys with core 2 duo cpu’s with their 5870 and they run it fine but thanks for the reccomend.
@bibbidibobbidiboosta Nice Buttttttt I would recommend buying a better CPU just so you don’t bottleneck your gpu!
@Skunk2K20 cool thanks dude
im building a pc soon and its gonna have a 5870 and an i5 760, i was gonna go for the i7 but ill only be gaming anyway. good to see the 5870 is still a beast though.
@bibbidibobbidiboosta Oh yea Cake walk for sure! my ASUS Laptop with a GTX 260m can max it out with little to no issues
can 5870 max this game out easily?
@omgitsdefault Try MSI Afterburner it works good! I can get up to a 1050MHz OC with it!
Nice
good temps too, I cant seem to OC my 5850 the button just resets to default, think the card has it locked in the drivers or bios. :/ nice rig
@rocklebest Overclock is increasing the frequency that the component operates at for instance my i7 runs at 3.06GHz stock but I overclocked it to 4.2GHz and my 5870 runs at 850MHz stock but OC’ed it to 950MHz. Basically just makes it run faster
sorry i mightlook dumb but what is an overclock please?
Yep its in MSI AfterBurner Really nice utility for OCing and monitoring!
Nice setup man! Just curious how you get that monitor of temperature/FPS on top left of your screen? It’s from the MSI utility you’re using?
