Does the RAID on this board work on the two SATA 6Gb/s controllers so I can use 6 GB/s SATA drives, or does the RAID only work on the 3.0 Gb/s controllers? Want to do the right thing when ordering the drives, and would prefer to use the faster SATA controllers if possible.
@JoeyStormz $1500 bucks and only a gtx 460??? something is wrong… for that budget you should be looking at 2 6870′s or 2 gtx 470′s rethink you build its not very good
@abantay awesome
Just got my new system the other day, Working out the overclock then i can finally have a play
@memberHD Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Now that I’ve had 2 weeks to play with this thing what I can say is that I can scrub through an HD timeline in premiere like it was SD. Rendering is a lot faster (60% improvement) in both Prem and After Effects. Real-time previews, GPU Acceleration & Adobe Dynamic Link=Faster turn around with Projects.
@JoeyStormz I went with the GTX 460 card to utilize the Mercury Playback Engine for GPU acceleration for video editing in Adobe Premiere CS5. ATI cards are not supported. If you are going to use your system for gaming I would probably stick with the ATI card.
@abantay ok ty cause i am trying to build a gaming pc and my budget is 1500 without monitor, keyboard and mouse. Would you reccomend the nvidia gtx 460 or the ati 5770 more?
$1739.00
how much did this build run you?
I used this monitor just for the build, they will be connected to dual 23′s when I’m done.
Buy yourself a normal monitor dude (((
How well does the 950 cope with HD (1080) files?
