The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

My Website: extremecustomscomputermods.weebly.com this is a Link to my update system: www.youtube.com This is a Final Video from me that show you how to Overclock your Intel i5 Quad Core CPU to 3675.03Ghz with Turbo Boost Enabled. This Video would show you the correct way to Overclock your CPU and RAM. Also how to set the Voltages settings the correct way for a perfect Overclock. The following features are Disables, C1E, EIST, Virtualization Technology, Execute Disable bit, Speedstep, C-state Tech, and Spread Spectrum.. Please note that all Gigabyte motherboards do have addition voltages settings. When you set the CPU VCore @ 1.200V (CPU-Z says 1.1680V) Please be aware that this is only for the Intel i5 Quad Core. I have Build three more system in the last 3 weeks and all system have the same overclock settings and are running 100% Stable. Ive ran Prime95 for 9 hours and 43 minutes and Memtest86 for more 20Hours Each system had a Difference Gigabyte motherboard that I build. UD4 – EX58 and a USB3.0 (Saying this for the record) For those that cant read the numbers CPU Vcore 1.2000V – 1.2500V QPIVTT is at 1.1500V – 1.2000v PCH Core 1.050V – 1.230v CPU PLL 1.800V – 1.860V – 1.880v DRAM (if 1333MHz overlock to 1400Mhz set voltage to 1.64Mhz) DRAM (if 1600Mhz overlock to 1700MHz set votlage to 1.64V If not overclocked then set it to 1.56oVoltages Please Rate and Comment with Questions if you have anything.

Hi. This tutuorial works and overclocks it, but after a while, if I leave my coputer alone and it goes into standby, whne I click the mouse and try to bring it out of standby, all my computer does is make a whirring sound and then appear to turn off.
Then 5 seconds later it will make awhirring sound again and appaear to turn off. This will continue until I turn off the power.

Then when I turn it back on it says an error occured due to overclocking and it sets back to 2.85 ghz again.

i think the title is a little misleading

Hi, I have 1600Mhz memory, how should I adjust the setting to get it running at 1600Mhz while maintaining the same cpu speed? Thank you!

  6. keiki646 says:

@teamkenmei clearly the answer is NO

  7. teamkenmei says:

@keiki646 I know that this video is for gigabyte mb, I’m not stupid
I’m just asking if the same process your doing would be similar to an intel MB that’s all

  8. keiki646 says:

@teamkenmei Sorry to be some blunt about it but you didn’t pay attention to this video did you ? This is for Gigabyte motherboards, Not Intel MB and Intel MB for limited on how much you can overclock

  9. teamkenmei says:

    Should I get Gigabyte MB?
cause i found the core i5 750 with a MB with it, called intel DP55WB Motherboard

Would these settings work for that as well?

  10. bjmagnus says:

Lol, title fails. Saying; 3675.03GHz lol

  11. andrei847 says:

very useful your video, especialy for those who own gigabyte mobos

  12. rsetiono says:

First sorry for double posting :P
and second, yes you are correct i think i over voltage my CPU and my RAM. Last nite i have reduce it (but i need to sacrifice my BLKC core speed and), I am thinking to run my i5 in daily to 3.56Ghz, temp is arond 28-33 Celc degree.

I forgot about the setting, but i have print screen it on my desktop. Later will show it to you. Anyway, i just go to your channel and surprise that you are a woman and you like to do this OC thing?!? Cool….! Thumbs up! :)

  13. keiki646 says:

@rsetiono Go on my channel and look for How To Overclocking Intel i5/i7 CPU Processors, it a new video for you extreme overclockers

  14. keiki646 says:

@rsetiono First and foremost that you are very much over voltage right now. On top of that you are mostly not using watercooling. everything is too high for the setting you have provided me here. Default and never go over 1.4v (or less you watercooling)
QPI/VTT is ony should be at 1.25-1.30v
on top the the CPU voltages 1.35v should be enough for 4.0GHz
listen I have another video here that will should you how to overclocking the right way but you must listen and understand.

  15. rsetiono says:

    hi,

I am using Gigabyte P55 UD5 (BIOS F10), below is my setting to hit 4058 Mhz :

    LLC : Level 2
    CPU core : 1.43750v
    QPI/Vtt core : 1.420v
    DRAM volt : 1.700v

    QPI Clock ratio : 32x
    System Memory Multiplier : 8.0
    CPU Clock Drive : 900mV
PCI express Clock drive : 900mV

I have try your set up there, but its always failing. I dunno why. Maybe is it becoz of my memory? I am using GEIL DDR3 ULTRA PC3-17000 2133MHz C9

Timing that i have set for my mem : 9-9-9-28

  17. keiki646 says:

@FingerTech But yes true but is the MHz is higher than 1600Mhz , Like I have G.Skill Trident Extreme Performance 2000MHz Gaming RAM at 9-9-9-27, I have better FPS and faster, look at my updated video posted on 3D Mark score video I have posted

  18. FingerTech says:

    On the ram latency time wouldn’t using 7, 7, 7, 24 be much faster than using 9, 9, 9, 24?

  19. DiarmaidSC says:

@keiki646 yeah but i have the multiplier in the bios at x20 and turbo boost off.And CPU-Z always shows 183×21.

  20. keiki646 says:

@IrishTopgun12 really why is that CPU-Z shows you what you have change in setup up the BIOS at an 21x Multiplier. When you are using the 21x Multipler you enable turbo boost. The system shows that but whatever programs that you are using it will always using 3.67 or 3.66GHz. Turbo Boost is when the software or program that you are using at the time needs a little help and that is when Turbo Boost comes in

  21. IrishTopgun12 says:

@keiki646 wow now im eaven more confused. In Coretemp and CPU-Z it shows as 3.8 GHZ but in my result of 3DMark06 it shows as 3.66 GHz.weird :P

  22. IrishTopgun12 says:

@keiki646 I have all these settings disabled except C3/C6/C7 Support.
I’ll see if disabling helps.I have DDR3 1333 RAM and have the Multiplier at 6.0 (so its running @ 1100) dunno if its safe to set it to 8.0.thanx

  23. keiki646 says:

@IrishTopgun12 keep note that this are the things that needs to be disabled, Turbo Boost (Make sure you sure a 20x Multiplier)

    Turbo Boost – Disabled
    CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) Disabled
    C3/C6/C7 State Support – Disabled
    CPU EIST Function – Disabled

Not sure what Ram you have 1600MHz or 1333MHz
But make sure you so some adjustments To the system Memory Multplier (SPD)

I will make another video in a few minutes to explain why

  24. keiki646 says:

@IrishTopgun12 Make sure that you have a few thing disabled in the BIOS like Turbo Boost, EIST, with the 21X multiplier – the turbo boost will automatic enabled itself so it’s will be best to sure 20x and to adjust the Memory MHz settings too

  25. IrishTopgun12 says:

@keiki646 Ok ive run Prime95 with no errors and temps were never over 64°C.
now i wanted to get the 3.66 GHz Profile done,so i set multiplier to x20 and Base Clock to 180.But when im in Windows CPU-Z(and CoreTemp) shows that im at 3.8 GHz with a multiplier of 21 eaven tho i set it to 20. (voltage @ 1.27v)
