@kengie2 It depends on your specific RAM chips, CPU, Motherboard, and memory controller setup. Someone with the exact some parts as you may not need to, but you may, you really have to play it by ear, there isn’t a definative answer

what will happen if i just high my DRAM Frequansy? i have an 800Mhz DDR2 Ram! and i want to OC to like 900-1066Mhz can i ?
@Coptersa007 it depends on the original speed of the RAM and what you have it OC’d to. It won’t make as big of a difference as OCing your CPU, but it will help loading times a bit
what effects to gaming does it increase speed and make game faster after done that?

I really need a help on this one.
My old pc/rig mobo supports DDR frequency of 133 MHz (DDR266) with a max capacity of 2GB. Now what’s installed in the system is 166 MHz (DDR333) 1GB (2 sticks 512Mb each). It’s running fine.
Now I want to upgrade my RAM to max 2GB, but I can only find a 1Gb DDR400 (200 MHz) in our local computer shop. DO YOU THINK IT’S OKAY TO OVERCLOCK MY RAM FROM A STANDARD 133 TO 200?
