    if i were to overclock with a i5 760 with a P55A UD3 would a 600w psu be enough for when i turn all the voltges to auto

    your a funny guy Linus. :)

    @NewGameReleases Can’t argue with that.:)

  6. Landrar says:

    @MrToesterMan Over clicking is a slow arduous process. Google 3 step oc guide and click on the one that says updated. If you run in and start changing settings without having a plan you will end up with an unstable clock and not know where to look for fixing it.

  7. Landrar says:

    @MrToesterMan Nah go with 2 x 2 gb. On an am2/3 or 1156 board I would get dual channel 1800 speed ram then you can start with it underclocked at 1333 and move it up as you oc your system. If you have 1366 then go with 2000 speed 3 x 2gb triple channel kit.

  8. MrToesterMan says:

    im running a i5760 on the same MB as this video, should i be turning up my i5 BCLK to 185 also?

  9. MrToesterMan says:

    @Landrar so if 2 sticks are better then 4, should get some 4 gb sticks?

  10. NewGameReleases says:

    @Landrar :) I just looked today and you can get an amd black edition quad core from newegg clocked default at 3ghz for 100 dollars. Both are still good, it just depends on what you want/ your budget

  11. Landrar says:

    @Schmidteren No.2 sticks are better than 4 when ocing. Puts less strain on the chipset.

  12. Landrar says:

    @NewGameReleases Fair enough, but if that’s the performance level that works for you then a c2q with 775 mb is about the same price for the same performance. I think you need to compare apples to apples and doing that with Intel’s and AMD’s latest chips isn’t doing that. AMD has always, minus one short stint with athelon II, been a full generation behind Intel. That’s still true and what causes the price difference.

  13. NewGameReleases says:

    @Landrar It depends what processor you choose to buy. With an AMD 955 and an AM3 motherboard, you could be saving about 100 dollars. Many people would argue that AMD processors offer more bang for buck because of this, because in most tests you won’t see a 100 dollar difference. I guess it depends on what suits whos needs

  14. Landrar says:

    @NewGameReleases I know this. Point still stands that AMD is not more bang for your buck.

  15. NewGameReleases says:

    @Landrar Intel motherboards are more expensive. The price is about even when it comes down to it

  18. Landrar says:

    @INCC74656I calling bs on this. No way is water keeping you that cool under full load with ht on. My 860 idles at 41 and peaks at 65 at 4.4 w/ 23 c ambient. Ek supreme hf, hw labs black ice xtreme gen 2 360 rad, and panaflow 115 cfm @ 2700 rpm fans. Would really like to know what you have bc I haven’t seen anyone hit 4.8 wo dice, phase, or ln2.

  19. Landrar says:

    @12cyberspy12 True, but that I5 out performs that 6 core in almost every situation, too. Go Google the benchmarks for the 1090t and you’ll see I’m not lying.

  20. Landrar says:

    @livai007 Ah the lie of the decade. Go check tomshardware benchmarking results. The I5 750 beat the 1090t in both processing ability and gaming plus its $50 cheaper. AMD is nice if you don’t mind having processors that are technologically a generation behind, lol. Poor AMD fan boys.

  21. Landrar says:

    @1337manne Because the H70 only has a single 120 rad and can’t pull enough heat from an I series chip to pull 4 ghz with reasonable temps. I5 has a TJ max of 99c. That cooler isn’t going to keep it below 80 c. I tried to do it with an 860 and by off. Put two panaflows in push pull and 4 ghz still topped out at 84 in occt.

  22. 1337manne says:

    @Landrar lol why?

  23. Landrar says:

    @israeldogfather A better cooler for starters.
