@charlestwoo I used to have a Dell 2407WFP before this which was a £550 IPS panel.
The Dell had better blacks, colour, viewing angle and brightness. I’m really sorry I bought this monitor over the Dell, but the deciding factor was the power consumption and heat.
If you have more money, then buy something more expensive, this monitor is no way near 8,000,000:1 contrast, even the Dell had better contrast with 1,000:1. Go with a monitor that is pricey but sports modest contrasts, say 5000-50000:1
